In 1940 some of these vessels were still in service with the Kriegsmarine. Does anybody have information on how these were modified through the years and their numbers, status and equipment in 1940... ...

information according to Groener vol. 2

G 7, 8, 10, 11 were re-named T 107, T 108, T 110, and T 111 on April 23, 1939
previously, in 1937, they were armed with 3 torpedo tubes and one 4" gun aft

S 23 was re-named T 123 KOMET on April 23, 1939 and served as wireless control boat for the target ship HESSEN

yes, indeed, there were several ex-"Torpedoboote 1906" still in service in 1940

S 139, V 151, V 155-158 (1 + 1 + 4 boats) serving since 1936 as "Torpedofangboote" (i.e. picking up floating exercise torpedoes after the shot)

V 153 became optical rangefinder training boat EDUARD JUNGMANN in 1938 (1945 -> USA)

V 185 was both fast tug and target ship wireless control boat BLITZ since 1932 (1945 -> SU)

V 190 was turned into the experimental vessel CLAUS VON BEVERN in 1938 (1945 -> USA)

G 196 was, since 1938, the staff accomodation ship for the "Führer der Minensuchboote" (Senior officer Minesweepers) (1945 -> SU)
