Hi,

A photo showing Carl Peters in Bergen 1940. Does she have a Reedereimarke on the chimmeny?

It looks like a hammer and chisel. Could it be part of here cammouflage?

There are three boats with marking. "J" for Jasper. S 127 Osterloh, "E" for Erich. S 64 Kehder and a sign showing "6?", could be S 65 Horst Schuur or S 68 Wulf Fanger. (data from Urs's commander list)

There is also a late war boat with twin 2 cm flak and a Bofors gun. S 195 Kehder?

Hi,

There is also a photo showing  smoke floats of some kind, probebly used for training. Do any one know the name for it and how it was used?

I have only seen one other photo showing them.

It confirmes the S 33 Snake and shows that the missing animal for S 30 is a Swordfish.

Tanga and probebly S 30 in Helsingör, Denmark spring/summer 1941, 6 S-Ftl.

Dort lagen zu dieser Zeit 4 Boote des Typs "S 30" - Auszug aus meiner Bootsdatei:
17.- 30.6.41 Hafenliegezeit in Helsingör in 2- bzw. 4-Stundenbereitschaft (S 30, S 33, S 36, S 56)
30.6., 1.7. und 2.7.41 Verbandsfahrübungen (S 30, S 33, S 36, S 56) bei Tag und Nacht (1.7.)
2.- 14.7.41 Hafenliegezeit in Helsingör in 2- bzw. 4-Stundenbereitschaft (S 30, S 33, S 36, S 56)
14./15.7.41 Nachtfahrübungen (S 30, S 33, S 36, S 56)
15.- 30.7.41 Hafenliegezeit in Helsingör in 2- bzw. 4-Stundenbereitschaft (S 30, S 33, S 36, S 56)

Hi Urs,

Thanks for the detailed information. Did the 6 S-Ftl get new boats in August and were they still in Helsingör?

There was one photo on Ebay that also showed the Saar in Danzig (with Tsingtau and S 10 - S 13 in the background).
I think the color photo must have been taken at the same time (summer 1941?). Do anyone know more about the red turet marking? It loos like some of the Schnellbootbegleischiffe had yellow turets later in the summer.

Neue Boote: nein. Die 6. SFltl war im Herbst immer noch Ausbildungsflottille und wurde erst 1942 Einsatzflottille (Boote ab S 69, dann S 73 und weitere). Im Herbst 1941 fuhr die Flottille zum großen Teil noch mit den "alten" Booten S 18 - S 25.
Ja, sie waren im August noch in Helsingör, Verlegen nach Kiel im September 1941

der Tender war doch der U-Bootwaffe zugeteilt , hast Du evtl. dazu andere Informationen ??
