This is an interesting theme. Particularly when considering that more than 230 ships were sunk during the Dunkirk evacuation, of which 72 (my info) were vessels in regular RN service, the others being of various categories. Therefore, when discussing, say, the Luftwaffe efforts, it is quite usual to not to credit the balance (160 vessels) to any specific German weapons branch. Of the 72 a  few were sunk by U-boats or S-boats. These are well documented.

Is this project also to document the way the various vessels were sunk? Or is the subject German vessels bombed in Dunkirk by the RAF?

Leandros,
we want to document the Allied vessels lost during the evacuation of Dunkirk, if possible with cause of loss.

Seems to me that the French prisoners have taken good care of their personal equipment.
