ZitatJMSDF destroyer collides with Chinese fishing boat in East China Sea, two injured.

The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's (JMSDF's) Hatakaze-class guided missile destroyer JS Shimakaze (pennant number 172) collided with a Chinese fishing boat in the East China Sea on 30 March, injuring two people aboard the fishing boat.

A spokesperson at the Ministry of Defense (MoD) in Tokyo told Jane's on 31 March that the collision took place in high seas, about 650 km west of Yakushima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, at 2028 h local time while Shimakaze was conducting patrols in the area.

The spokesperson said no one aboard Shimakaz e was injured, but the collision left a 1 m × 20 cm hole in the destroyer's portside.

Gibt es da ggf. etwas mehr dazu?
