U35 ORIGINALY ORDERED BY GREECE?

Hello all!

I had read once, tha Greece had order four U31 class submarines, before WW1, which were finaly detained by Germany. One of them was the famous U35. Does anyone have this information somewhere?

in the book from Eberhard Rössler, Geschichte des deutschen U-Bootbaus Band 1 (Bernard und Graefe Verlag, 1986), he wrote on side 54, that in June 1914 there were negotiations between Greece und Germany. Early in July 1914 the negotations were about U 33 - U 37 and a purchase was near. But then the First World War stopped the deal.
