I can fix that. The 8 S-Ftl was repelled by the destroyer Pytchley ~23:45 north-east of Sheringham Light Float. This was probebly the most dangerus attack as it was heading straight at the convoy. The destroyer manged to turn the S-Boote back before they found it. (JP Foynes page 289 and Mike Whitley page 65 german edition)

I have added the bouy and Z line map (Foynes) and the key for the Units on the battle map.

3.   At about 2318 H.M.S. PYTCHLEY who was guarding the seaward flank of the F.N. convoy* obtained a radar contact of E-boats. The E-boat warning was at once sent out. At 2318 H.M.S. PYTCHLEY went into action with 5 or 6 E-boats 4 miles north of 56B buoy and drove them off to the north-east, severely damaging one.

The English writes that sank three and damaged many S-boats. Sunk were only the S-63 and S-88. What S-boats were damaged in the battle?

Nicht böse sein das ich hier " reinfunke"....

Meine Frage:
Hatten die Schnellboote im  " Einsatz " die Abdeckung für die " 2cm "Brunnenflack" an Board ?
Wenn ja ...lagen die vorne auf der Back...
Es gibt kaum/ kein  ein Foto ...im Einsatz mit dieser Abdeckung gezeigt  wird !!??
Alle Luken um es zu verstauen sind zu klein... folglich blieben die an " Land" oder ??

Hi Chris,

Here is a photo of the 2 cm gun cover in "open" possition. It was always stoved there behind the gun.

There were several diffrent hoses used on the boats. The ones storde on the side of the sub structure behinde the Kalotte are said to be "Brennöl Saugschläuche". The probebly had a steel spiral inside making it possibel to fitt them on the suction side of a pump.
There are also photos of rolled upp hoses without a spiral to be used on the pump pressure side. Hoses used to fill the Schnellboot from a Begleitschiff were quite thin and metal armoured.

Hallo,

und nun noch eine Frage:
War der Boden im "Brunnen" mit Holz beplankt ?
Und wie funktionierte das Einschwenken der Waffe in den Brunnen ??

Ich habe irgendwann mal ein Bild gesehen mit einer offenen Tür im Brunnen mit Sicht auf den Boden... Ich find hier zu Hause nix mehr wieder..

Eine Frage zu dem Bild von  Alo....Bild mit der Vierlingsflak..
Wieviele " Kompaten" waren  auf den Schnellbooten ?
Warum, wieso so viele

Zähle da " vier"...?? mit Kompass unter der Brücke...+ 2 Ersatz....

bräuchte auch mal Unterstützung und hab da ne Frage...!!

Ich baue genau wie Chris auch an dem S-Boot...und brauche gute Bilder oder Zeichnungen von dem Gestänge der Brunnenflak..!
Es gibt da zwar einiges...aber nichts wirklich gutes um Details von dem Gestänge innerhalb des Brunnens zu sehen...!!
Das von Italerie ist nicht der Hit...!!
Wäre super wenn da jemand aushelfen könnte..!!
