moin,

Zitat von: alo41 am 21 Juni 2023, 23:39:01The 6 Sftl boats (S 71, S 73, S74, S 75) got there on 26 April 1942 (HMA). Was Tsingtau with them then?
Nein. Tsingtau lief am 28.4. ein und machte fest (kein Ankern)

Thanks Urs,

This fits well with two other photos from the album that I have colorized.

1. Probably taken from Tsingtau in the harbour with two Schnellboote visibel.
2. The party photo is one of several (and needs more work). The red building proves it to be Tsingtau in Svolvär. I think it is Walpurgis night 30/4. I also think it was celebrated in the same way by 8 Sftl on Adolf Lüderits. My post 1806 in this tread. Link: https://forum-marinearchiv.de/smf/index.php?topic=18105.1800

Hi,

Tsingtau front gun, Norway 1942 with 6 SFtl. The deck chair photo is from Kristiansand.

The Bordehund might be "Bonzo's" replacement on Tsingtau.

Zitat von: Platon Alexiades am 07 Mai 2023, 15:36:00Hello,

On 28 February 1943, S 35 (Oberleutnant zur See Stolzenburg) was blown up on a mine about 18 miles north of Ras Dukara (Tunisia). Can anyone provide exact Grid coordinates?  Although one can guess them, I have found no document which gives a precise position. I am also looking for photos of S 35 and Stolzenburg.

Many thanks,

Platon

I am also looking for a list of the 25 victims of S-35 (names and ranks). Many thanks.

Platon

Hi,

Some more 6 SFtl in Norway.
S 71, S 73, S 74, S 75, S 114 and Tsingtau went to Semskefjord (21 Juni 1942) to replace the 8 SFtl.

1. The Schnellboote in Semskefjord (first day?). They are all white. Two of the boats have black camouflage patches. It can be sean on the wheel house on the boat to the left in the photo. The typical wavy (Baltic style?) 6 SFtl camouflage was being painted on the day of arrivial. See my post 1837, photo 1. Link: https://forum-marinearchiv.de/smf/index.php?topic=18105.1830

2. Adolf Lüderitz with a flag problem.

3. A wind indicator with a tin Schnellboot. Left by the 8 SFtl?

4. 6 SFtl with five Schnellboote, Adolf Lüderitz and Hernösand. The snow is now all gone.

Hi,

I will go back to another 6 SFtl album that I have already posted some from. Link: https://forum-marinearchiv.de/smf/index.php?topic=18105.1020

The album starts with basic training at 14 S.St.A. in Breda NL. It is spring 1941 in the Chasse kazerne. The better photos must have been bought at the site. Other snap shots shows the album man in training.

The old part of the Chasse kazerne is still there. The large new (~1935) building behind the gate in photo 4 is totaly gone.

There is a good documentation of 14 S.St.A. here: https://stadsarchief.breda.nl/collectie/beeld/films-en-foto-s/?mode=gallery&view=horizontal&rows=45&page=1&fq%5B%5D=search_s_primary_creator_name:%22Picker,%20Egon%22&sort=random%7B1688581979012%7D%20asc&filterAction

Hi,

Two low quality snap shots from Chasse kazerne in Breda.

1. The album man's company leader.

2. Polishing boots.

Both photos were taken behind the old kazerne. The buildings are now gone and have been replaced with a street and offices. Part of the old red brick kazerne can be sean to the right.

Hi,

The photo album continues with snap shots after the album man left 14 S.St.A. in Breda.

1. A typ S 18 boat with Rügen in the back ground.
2. Schnellbootbegleitschiff Tanga.
3. Could be after the Christmas dinner. Playing cards, drinking wine and opening presents dressed in the white uniform. It looks like the living quarters on a ship.
4. A day off. Christmas day? The album man is seconde from left.

I think the specilized training could have continued on S 20 with commander Schnebel after the basic training in Breda. They are living on Whonschiff Berlin in Kiel Wik.

Information from HMA:
S 20 went to Helsingör 12 Sep. 1942. Tanga was there.
S 20 went to Sassnitz (Rügen) 16 Oct  and trained with Tanga.
S 20 had a motor renovation in Kiel 16 Nov-6 Jan. The album man could have taken part in it. He had the Maschinenlaufbahn.

Hi,

More album photos from Kiel Wik.

1. A typ S 18 Schnellboot (it is not S 20). The ocean liner New York is to the left and part of the railing on Whonschiff Berlin is on the right.

2. A photo taken from Berlin of the New York. The liner is still not painted overall black. (~Oct 1942?)

3. Berlin in the ice. S 20 will leave for Wilhelmshaven on 14 Jan 1942 with Oblt Meyering as commander..

4. Kiel Wik Oskar Kusch Mole today (former Scheermole).
