Beitrag von: cam am 25 Juli 2021, 23:24:44
Hi,
Colleagues,
Please help me find out the details of the sinking of the ship "Fidelitas" (5739 t) on 27 November 1944. All I know is that the ship was heading south as part of a convoy and was sunk at Alesund by an airborne attack when attacking Beaufighters of the 404th and 489th squadrons.

JERSBECK wasn't sunk in that attack, and escorting V.5311 (not minesweeper but patrol boat) also survived. Convoy's commander report say about 23 survivors from FIDELITAS out of 68 men on board. Maybe some was rescued later?
