Hello Gentlemen,

on 19 - 20 July 1942 night there was a clash between the British DDs Aldenham and Dulverton and some KM S - Boote. I would like to know which were the Schnellboote involved?

According to Friedrich Kemnade, Die Afrika.Flottille, there were two clashes, the first during the night 18.-19. July with two destroyers, the second in the following night with two groups, one with three, the other with two destroyers. There were at least one Albacore-plane supporting the destroyers in both nights.
In both nights the German S-boats were "S 33", "S 55" and "S 60".

da ich mein Kemnade-Buch leider nicht mehr habe, diesbezüglich eine Nachfrage zu den dt. Bootskommandanten
- S 55 Weber (?)
- S 60 Wuppermann oder Haag ?
- S 33 ??

Urs, sind leider nicht direkt erwähnt.
Im Anhang findet sich eine Stellenbesetzungsliste mit Stolzenburg und Brauns für "S 33", Stolzenburg und Weber für "S 55" und Wuppermann und Haag für "S 60", aber wann die Wechsel stattgefunden haben, läßt sich wohl allenfalls feststellen, wenn man das halbe Buch durchliest.
