Titel: Eine Legende?
Beitrag von: Enrico Cernuschi am 31 Dezember 2013, 07:54:01
Glückliches neues Jahr meine Damen und Herren,

according an enduring legend the KM launched an hull at Leghorn on 1944 towing it to Genoa ferring this way plenty of materials transferred from that wrecked yard to the still efficent Ansaldo one. The hull is said to have been the Claudio Tiberio's one (actually dismantled on the slip during the winter 41/42 according the official sources) or the DD Margottini.

As there were plenty of commissioned freighters the story of the hull is a strange one, but the old workers of the OTO Yard always said this very tale. Is there anything in the SKL diaries or other German sources which could settle this matter?

      Happy 2014
