12M3 was a unit of the 12.Küstenschutzflottille. Here is a short version of her story:
Built 1911 as whale catcher Horta by Akers Mekaniske Værksted Aktieelsk, Oslo (yard number : 318). Specs: 110 GRT, 28,14 x 5,61 x 3,38 m.
12/15: Sold to French Navy. Renamed Cigale and equipped as aux. patrol boat based in La Pallice.
10/20: sold to W. H. Miller & Co., Piraeus.
1920: sold to A. Embiricos, Andros and renamed Anafi.
1928: Converted in to Embirico's yacht. Renamed Afros.
2/11/40: requisitioned by Greek Government and employed by the Torpedo & Mine Command.
7/4/41: reported sunk in Piraeus during the Clan Fraser explosion.
9/6/41: seized by Kriegsmarine.
7/9/1941: renamed 12 M 3 for service with the 12. Küstenschutzflottille based in Piraeus.
1945: falsely reported as retroceded, because the ship was found after the Greek liberation in 10/44 destroyed and sunk in Piraeus harbour. She was soon scrapped on the spot.

Letzte Eintragung aus dem KTB Küstenschutzflottille Attika 1.-15.8.1944: ,,GA 51 Seit 10.04.1944 in Skaramanga werftliegezeit"
