Hello,
While searching details on Lt.z.S Arthur Deichmann who used to command Sperrbrecher 178, I found an entry using the German Crewlists of World War 2 search form on Marine Archiv. Unfortunately there is no more data. The last data I know about him is dated from the end of August 1942 when Deichmann was replaced by Kplt.d.R Willy Engel in Kiel.
I'd like to know more about the carreer of Lt.z.S Arthur Deichmann. Did he command other ships ? What about his fate : did he survived the war ?

Indeed I'd like to know where I should search in Germany in order to learn about the career of the officer : what are the archives which hold files dealing with German navy soldiers of WW2 ? IS ti the Deutsche Dienststelle ? Are there other ones ?
