Hi,
I just bought a photo on E-bay showing the Rotte markings for S 14, S 15. There was Another photo showing more boats.
S 9..S 13?? Triangel (outside S 14)
S 14 Diamond
S 15 Pyramid
S 16 Triangel underlined
S 17 Diamond undelined
When could it be? 1938? The crew has blue caps = Winter
Where is it? Ebay said Schwinemünde? but I think it is Travemünde.
Is there any more information on these markings?
It is intresting that the 2 S-Ftl keept the system with underlining when they painted the playing card symbols in 1942.

Sven sent me some excelent information showing that the Schnellboote used the old (WW1) Torpedoboot system for the Zeichen.
The 1 SFtl used the 1 Torpedoboot, 1 Halbflottille
The 2 SFtl used the 1 Torpedoboot, 2 Halbflottille
