Looking for info on Unternehmen Heftnadel. As i understand it is Admiral Hipper. Can anyone comfirm this ?

I don't think its an operation (= Unternehmen), but a cover name (Tarnname) for the ship.

Hi, that's right. According to War Diary Admiral Hipper p. 131, "Heftnadel" is the code name of Hipper (Angelhaken
means Admiral Scheer). Both shipts are about to return back to Germany.
