Hi,
it seems that one Steuermann or Obersteuermann (formerly Bootsmaat) Franz Brückner is missing in the crew list for U 1163 (and also that of U 380).
Franz Brückner was awarded with the DKiG for his duty on board U 559 and U 380. He is pictured on a commissioning photograph of U 1163 in October 1943.

here's some additional data on Franz Brückner:
Born 17.02.1916 in Bruchsal
DKiG 15.02.1943* (while serving as Bootsmannsmaat)
*The FT-message regarding the award of the DKiG was received by U-380 on 19/03/43, so the actual date of award may be 15/03/43 (?)
