The location of her sinking is not off Makronisos Island like the Piraeus Register noted postwar. According to the attached extract from the German War Diaries the ship (Pi 260) was actually sunk off Pelion peninsula while attempting to move from Volos to Thessaloniki.
The mistake in the Register was probably made because the vessel had been attacked on October 3, 1944 by aircraft while on the Kea-Lavrio channel. Despite the damage and leaks, she managed to reach Lavrio and after a few days Piraeus.
