Good evening Gentlemen,
a difficoult question. Which were the German navy ships commissioned (not considering the Toulon wrecks ect.) on 8 Sept. 1943?
I know in the Western Mediterranean there were:
TA 9; TA 11
the minelayers Branbemburg and Pommern
the fighter direction ship Kreta (by the way which were her datas: displacement, top speed, weapons)
SG 11
some Schnellboote (whic ones?)
some R Booten (which one again)
some U Boote
while in the Eastern Mediterranean there were
TA 10
the minelayers Drache and Bulgaria
some UJ (as usual which ones? I presume it was the 22th Flotilla)
four U boats
two S Boote at Taranto
two S Boote at Pola
some R Boote (?)
Any further infos (including MFP, Army landing craft, LW motor boats, merchant ships ect. would be welcome).
Greetings
EC

Hi Enrico,
Fighter-Direction-Ship "Kreta"
ex french "Il de Beaute" build 1930
2600 BRT, 97m x 13,2m x 5,2m, 20kn (steamturbines), 230 men crew
2x10,5cm, 2x7,5cm, 28x2cm (quadruple)
1 Freya AN, 1 Würzburg 39T
Source: Kurt Petsch "Nachtjagdleitschiff Togo"
Theo
Danke Spee (Admiral Graf von I presume?).
Anything else?
