For the 2007-2008 mission year, the French Training Squadron for Naval Officers (which includes Jeanne d'Arc and Georges Leygues) performed the training of 124 cadets, including12 women and 19 foreign cadets from 15 countries (Madagascar, South Africa, Kuwait,United Kingdom...). The Squadron left its home port of Brest on the 15th of December 2007 and is due back the 4th of June 2008. During this five month period, Georges Leygues will participate in several missions (surveillance against narcotrafficking, terrorism, illegal immigration...) in a number of different countries (USA, Brazil, Angola, South Africa,Tanzania, Djibouti, Egypt, Italy, Spain, and Morocco).
