dazu aus den TNA Akten [sorry, die Kopie ist teilw. schwer lesbar, habe es trotzdem mal probiert zu übertragen - v.a bei den taktischen Flugzeugmarkierungen - die Nummern habe ich weggelassen].
Angriff erfolgte durch 23 Flugzeuge. Eine Beaufighter wurde abgeschossen.

Strike at 600 feet off W. coast of France.
Up 1616 to 1654.
Down 2018 to 2110.
Airborne Davidstow Moor, armed with 8x25lb PP´s type 8 and 4x 20mm cannons in company with 404 Squadron. W/Cdr. Gatward in M/404 leading. C/236 landed in Moor at 1309 owing engine failure.
Sighted in position 46°55'N 0208W - 4 stationary "M" class minesweepers. Alle were attacked by 236 and three left smoking and burning and the fourth smoking slightly. Heavy and light "flak" was experienced from shore and vessels. Formation [...] base ans all landed at Davidstow Moor.

15 a/c accomanied by 236 Sqdn W/C. A.K. Gatward leading on strike to Brittany. 3 "M" class minesweepers and one smaller type sighted and attacked off Belle Isle. Successfully scoring many observed hits. a/c "F" F/C Farostell[?] did not return presumed hit by flak and was seen to dive into sea. W/C Mos[?] had one engine fail over target but returned safely landing at Predannack.
