UTLANDSHÖRN und SCHARHÖRN

Von Igor erhielt ich am Sonntag die wichtige Mitteilung, dass UTLANDSHÖRN und Schwesterschiff SCHARHÖRN in wichtigen Handbüchern wie Abert und Gröner DDK falsch identifiziert sind. Richtig dagegen die Eintragung in Witthöft, Die deutsche Handelsflotte, Band 2, Schiffsregister.
Anders als bei Abert aufgeführt (und bis dato auch in der Chronik des Seekrieges wiederholt) wurde die UTLANDSHÖRN vor Petsamo letztendlich versenkt und nicht nur beschädigt und später wiederhergestellt.

I must inform you about one subject connected with two entries at HMA-projects — MTB- and MGB Gefechte and Transportschiffe bei der Operation «Weserubung». Both related one ship, «Utlandshörn».
In both databases this ship recorded as damaged, grounded and later repaired, but in fact it was sunk at entrance to Petsamofjord 16.3.42 in position 69.41,6 N – 31.27,7 E. Literally pair days ago it was found at bottom by divers which i help with historical data (https://vk.ru/wall-163987722_1490).
Moreover, they discovered ship's bell (as it seen at video near its end) and name is «Cartagena». Looks like there is strange error in description of fates of two sister ships «Utlandshörn» and «Scharnhörn» by Gröner or some else. G. says that «Cartagena», then «Golfo de Panama» later became «Scharnhörn» — but diver's found at bottom (ship's bell) say that in fact this ship («Cartagena»/«Golfo de Panama») was renamed in «Utlandshörn». So «Scharnhörn» was ex. «Tarragona»/«Golfo de Dairen». Btw in book of Dinklage/Witthoft «Utlandshörn» described exactly as «Cartagena»/«Golfo de Panama».

Kurz gesagt ist die UTLANDSHÖRN ex GOLFO DE PANAMA ex CARTAGENA.
Dagegen ist die SCHARHÖRN ex GOLFO DE DARIEN ex TARRAGONA.
Beide Schiffe wurden 1937 von der Reederei Sloman in die Reederei Aschpurwis & Veltjens übernommen.
Ich habe das im HMA-Projekt "WESERÜBUNG" angemerkt, in MTB-/MGB-GEFECHTE korrigiert und in CHRONIK DES SEEKRIEGES (HMA-Version) zur Korrektur vorgemerkt.

Hallo zusammen,

Merkwürdigerweise führt das Lloyd's Register die SCHARHÖRN bis zum Ende ihrer Laufbahn als ex GOLFO DE PANAMA, ex CARTAGENA! (LR 1967/68: TERESA MARINA)
