Seelöwe HG Flak Scheveningen

On ebay at the moment some pics of a Hermann Göring Flak unit apparently taking part in some Seelöwe exercises at Scheveningen.

Some years ago I also downloaded an ebay pic of a HG Sdkfz.7 Halbkette with an 88 mm Flak gun on a Siebelfähre. This pic was supposedly taken in Groningen and the Siebelfähre is an early type with the aircraft engines on the rear deck. Perhaps someone has some info about Seelöwe exercises involving HG units.

In 1940 ist mir keine Übung der HG bekannt. 1941 habe ist mir auch nichts in Erinnerung, wobei ich nicht weiß ob Scheveningen in den Akten die ich eingsehen habe berücksichtigt war.

Thanks for your reply, it makes me wonder why the HG Flak Regiment was involved in exercises of this nature if Seelöwe had already been cancelled . Should you be interested in the Siebelfähre pic I was referring to I will send it to you (if you give me your email address).

Hi Arjan,

there were excercises after the cancellation of Seelöwe. Seelöwe should stay existend as a deterrent and as a contingency plan. For deception purpose there was there were also plans "Harpune/Haifisch" in spring 1941.
