Hello Gentlemen,

according the Naval Review the German newspaper Adria Zeitung would have boasted on 25 October 1944 an action, fought by UJ 202 and 208 on 22-23 Oct. 1944 night, against some enemy MTBs claiming they had sunk many of them while, actually, there was no encounter at all.

Is there any info about such an action in the German files? I would not be surprised it had been a British fabrication.

Greetings

Hallo Enrico,

According my sources the two U.J. damaged that night the yugoslavian partisan navy patrol boats PC4, 14 and 24 off Incoronata Is.

The wrong date published on the Naval Review allowed the author of that article to state no action had happened on that night (the wrong one) and that the Germans had probably fired against their own ships.

One further minor mistery solved.  :O/Y

Hallo Enrico,

That night both sides were saw something else. Germans saw british MTB`s and MGB`s and Partizans saw german destroyers. Also Partizans say that they saw one torpedo fired but none of that two UJ-boote have torpedo tubes.
