capture of "Maria Antonietta" 13.9.44

On September 13, 1944 Greek partizans attacked the motor-sailing ship "Maria Antonietta" that was anchored at Frikes, Ithaca. She was seized and towed to Vathy, Ithaca. The next evening an R (?) boat came searching for the vessel and found her under tow by a partizan caique. There was an exchange of fire with the partizans abandoning the ship. They claim that she was sunk by the German boats.
I suspect that she was recaptured by the Germans as onboard they also captured the British Flying Officer Dellow.

Can someone find any details on this event from German reports?

die Seetransportstelle Patras berichtet folgendes:

13.09.1944 Schlepper " Alessio " bei Versuch, Proviant von Insel Ithaka zu holen, von Partisanen gekapert und einige Stunden später von GP-Boot durch Bordwaffenbeschuß versenkt. 5 italienische Besatzungsmitglieder geborgen.

Siehe auch DEFE 3/672 S. 1116 + 1124A. Also kein R-Boot, sondern Küstenschutzboot der K.S.Fl. Pelepones, dort wird der Schlepper auch Sant Allession genannt. Bei der Siebelfähre könnte es sich um SF 294 handeln (auch im KTB Seetra Patras genannt).

The event is surely the same, although the names "Maria Antonietta" and "Alessio" do not match at all. I will try to find more information from Greek sources.

Bei der Siebelfähre könnte es sich um SF 294 handeln (auch im KTB Seetra Patras genannt).

Für SF 294 haben wir eine andere (später erfolgte) Verlustursache in unserer DB. Für SF 266, ebenfalls mehrmals im KTB Seetra Patras erwähnt, fehlt uns eine Verlustnachricht.

SF 294 ist ja auch später nachweislich (lt. KTB) abgeschleppt worden, also kein Verlust.
Da das Gefecht aber am 12.09. stattfand, scheidet auch SF 266 aus, da lt. KTB 15. L.-Flottille die Fähre am 13.09. um 5 Uhr Patras von Prevesa eingelaufen ist (sofern es einen Siebelfährenverlust überhaupt gab!).

[Edit] Wenn ich die DEFE 3/672 S. 963 richtig interpretiere, gingen der Schlepper und die beiden Küstenschutzboote zur Hilfeleistung zu SF 294.

Hi to everyone,
thanks alot for sharing all the info and especially Aris to share the link with the reports. Maria Antonietta was a fishing schooner (37 GRT) and served until the Italian Armistice as auxialiary minesweeper with the code R 74. Italian sources said that was captured in Zante.
In the ww2wrecks.com link Dimitri Galon is posting 2 photos of the ex Italian wooden tugboat URANO (civilian but employed as auxialiary minesweeper with the code R 98) captured in Patras after the armistice and there employed by Germans.
Sant'Alessio was a modern Regia Marina tugboat made by steel and captured after the armistice.
