Nachfolgende mail habe ich gestern erhalte. Da ich mit der Nazi-Marine nix am  Hut habe ist evtl. wer hier im Forum an der Sache interessiert .

Dear Mr Langensiepen,
We are journalistes from Serbian public broadcasting TV channel, RTS, working on a documentary "The Secret of the Danube elf", about sunken ships in Danube near the village of Prahovo in eastern Serbia.
We were in contact with Mr Selçuk Kolay who suggested that we address you as you might help us in our research.
More than 200 hulls of ships and other vessels of German Black Sea flotilla are in the river-bed of the largest European river for 67 years. In 1944 while retreating, the German army sank them. The commander of this operation, called "The Danube elf", was senior officier Konteradmiral P.W.Zieb.
He was in charge of: 7. Landunggsflottille (Kkapit.Stelter) with 13 MFP, Landungs-Pionier-Bataillon 214 (Haupt.Schöbel)
with 42 boats, 1. Küsten-Sicherungs-Flottille ,,Schwarzes Meer"(Kkapit.Wolters) with 2 KFK, Artillerieträger-Detachement/Minen-Räum-Gruppe ,,Untere Donau" (Kapit.lt.Brouwer) with 3 Artillerieträger, also one Bewährungs-Bataillon (Haupt.Müller). Among armed ships and boats were: Mil.Transporters (KT), Mine Cleaner, Desant Barges (MFP), Artilery Barges (AF), Landing Ships, 3 WorkShop Ships, Tugboats, RiverBoats and the floating hospital "Bamberg".
So far we have carried out our investigation in Serbia. At this stage we are looking for informations on Black Sea flotilla and Kampfgruppen Zieb, stored in German archives, as well as relevant German historians and witnesses (crew members, soldiers, women, children on the boats...).
Our intention is to draw attention of Serbian and European public to this issue, as sunken ships pose a major safety, navigation and environmental problem.
We would appreciate very much if your could recommend us archives that we can consult on this metter (Militärgeschichtliches Forschungsamt, Bundesarchiv, Militaerarchives in Freiburg?) and, possibly, historians who are specialist on the subject.

bitte entfernen Sie doch die e-Mail Adresse des Anfragenden. Ich jedenfalls würde mich ärgern wenn meine e-Mail Adresse von einem anderen offen in einem Forum gepostet würde.
