Dieses Bild finde ich persönlich ein der anspruchsvollste aus mein Sammlung. Wie der englischer Soldat der Admiral anschaut, und wie diese ein wenig erstaunt zurückblickt!

Beim nachsuchen die genaue Umstämde dieses Bild fand ich auch dieses Buch:

Welches in sehr kleine Auflage erschienen sein soll. Ein interessantes Erreignis zum Beispiel:

One interesting incident in the main account concerns the disciplining of the cruiser LEIPZIG which not only failed to show respect to Baillie-Grohman’s flag as he passed by, but some of the German sailors on deck behaved in an insulting manner. The Admiral’s response was swift and effective. He ordered the captain of the cruiser to have all his officers and ships’ company fallen in on deck next morning, all dressed in their No. 1 uniforms, whilst he sailed around the cruiser three times in his barge with the German sailors at the salute. Had the Germans refused to obey this command they were left in no doubt as to the consequences. A British warship was anchored opposite the cruiser with its guns trained on her. The order was duly obeyed.
