Hello everybody,

@ Reinhard,

WUNDERBAR !!! Many thanks - Danke schon ...   :O/Y

Now I have to try to find it and to buy it  ....  :MZ:

It is now very important to associate to each PK member, their reference number ( it should be a 4 digit number ), because that was the way they were giving to the PK censors the documentation, attaching her number to the photos or the film ... in this way we can try to find more photos and hopefully one day the full version of the Rheinubung fim and not only the cutted and censored version we are having now.

Hallo Antonio

der Kameramann ist Hans Peter Frenz.

Gruß Bernd

Hallo Bernd,

Andreas

Hallo,
from my father I save a wartime-list with about 50 PK-Berichter (Foto), published their shoots in the different publications between 1939-1945.

In this fact is to remember on Armin Karl Zinnecker/Sonderführer-Leutnant M.A. (05.07.1906-27.05.1941) on board of BISMARCK with his team. I think he made also nice photos of all events on the voyage...

Additional some photos from the start as MARINEPROPAGANDAKOMPANIE OST (MPKO) on 20.08.1939, 2. Zug in Kiel. The Hotel "Berliner Hof" in Kiel was their headquarters. We see the building in winter 1939/40, the old reservists on board a Verkehrsboot on Förde, visiting Gotenhafen on boat from Danzig and the working place of the PK-photographer on board of GNEISENAU in February 1940.

Hello everybody,

@Reinhard,

a very interesting set of information on Propaganda Kompanie, especially the name of the one on board the Bismarck.

From what I have learned so far, I think a lot can be discovered from this persons and their records, this is the reason why I keep on searching on them.

Great infos and photos,.... danke schon....  :O/Y

Maybe one has to ask in the BA/MA in Freiburg if the PK kept their own war diaries or similar documents.

The names of the cameramen were listed at the beginning of every Wochenschau-newsreel. See e.g. the following examples:

Unfortunately I couldn't find the complete Bismarck/Hood-Wochenschau (including the introduction) online so far.

For the information is not given, which film was done by which of the cameramen, it would only be useful anyway, if we had a "suspect", i.e. a name we suppose might have been the man.

I fully agree with you. That film was done for propaganda and was censored and "cutted" and the sequences mixed up as we all know now.

Finding the Wochenschau film were it was included should be enough to give us at least a list of PK cameraman names to search.
