hat jemand nähere Informationen über den finnischen Dampfer "Herakles" aus Turku/Abo insbesondere aus der Zeit zwischen September 1939 und April 1940? Kapitän des Schiffes war in diesem Zeitraum Torsten Fock.

Are You certain that the ship was from Turku? In the Finnish Mercantile Marine Database the only ship with the name Herakles for those years was from Helsinki, owner was Ab. Oceanfart company, see

Hi Jari,

thank you very much for this helpful information! I think you are of course right that "Herakles" was from Helsinki and not from Turku. I`ve confused it with the home town of the captain.
