Thanks I will rectify the identity of the Schnellboot in question in this CFV thread. One of the Schnellboot pics in the IWM collection :

A GERMAN E-BOAT CAPTURED BY A BRITISH COASTAL CRAFT AFTER AN ENGAGEMENT IN THE ENGLISH CHANNEL.. © IWM (A 10819) IWM Non Commercial License

Quite a few images of the Schnellboot that was brought to Plymouth :

It is a Lürssen export boat Jougoslavian or Italian. It looks like it is active with depth charges (Italian?) and a crew with diffrent uniforms. Jougoslave partisan boat?

It could be one of S 626, S 628 or S 630 (a lot is unsure abot these boats). I think they are standing on a Schnellboot as well.

Thanks, I think it was indeed a boat that formerly belonged to the Yugoslav Navy. This is what I found :

Orjen-class torpedo boat
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

The Orjen class of eight motor torpedo boats was built for the Royal Yugoslav Navy between 1936 and 1939 at the Lürssen Shipyard at Vegesack, Germany. They were based on the German S-2 motor torpedo boats. At the start of the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia, two boats managed to escape to Alexandria in Egypt where they continued serving with Allied forces, including in operations against Vichy French forces in Syria.

So it would seem this particular boat had already served with Allied forces for some time and was not captured in 1944.

Gruss,

Arjan

It could then be Kajmakčalan or Durmitor.

I have a photo of Kajmakčalan probebly when she was delivered from the Lürssen wharf.

I know think it is S 124 and S 134 on the way to Spain in July 1943.
The boats were handed over in Bordeaux on 31 July. I think S 97 crew was on one of the boats. It would explain why S 97 was in Kiel 14 July to 4 Aug without data.
It fits better with the time line in the album and it is full summer.

There is not any text in the album but I think I found another photo suporting the BÄR 1 transfer of S 124 and S 143 by the S 97 crew. It is a singel photo showing the crew in tropical uniforms taken in a studio. I could not understand how it got into the album. (the album has nothing to do with 1, 3 or 7 SFtl)

I found that the tropical uniform was used south of latitude 45° also on the Atlantic coast. Boardeaux is just south of 45°!
I am quite sure that it is a sovenier photo taken to remember the trip. They had probebly never been that far south before. There is no other photos taken there. No film, broken camera, camera owner had left the group, who knows? They probebly then went to a studio in thier new outfits to have at least one photo.

Hi,

I can show some more parts of the S 113 album. It is without any text so all the IDs have to be made from what's seen on the photos and compare it with information in books and the excellent HMA.

First in the album is "Standort Breada".

It is the home of 14 Schiffstammabteilung in the Chassekazerne in Breda since Sep. 1940. The photos shows basic training in spring type weather, probebly spring 1941.

The place is now Chasseepark.

Hi

Next in the album. S 20 with Schnebel. All photos have wavy or jagged edges that makes me beliving they belong together. They are in good order but not perfect in the album.

I think it starts with S 20 leaving Helgoland in strong wind (?). It would then be from the transfer from 4 SFtl in Rotterdam to 6 Sftl in Kiel on 30 Aug 1941.

There are photos from a Hotel Astoria. It could be from Rotterdam or some other training place after the 14 S.St.A. I have not managed to find it. Looks like it is by a park, early spring, they have probably been there for many days based on the photos over the beds.

Type S 18 boat going along side with a ship (?). Narrow waterway in the background with a lot of traffic. Kieler Förde?

Schnellbootbegleitschiff Tanga. Training with S 20 Oct. 1941

Crew full dress. Christmas dinner or new year in Kiel?

Day after Christmas dinner? Looks like Christmas decoration on the wall

Ice in Kiel. S 20, 14 Jan 1942 to Wilhelmshaven to avoid it.

Oktober 1941, Wind NW 4-5

Yes, Rügen fits better. The album man did then probebly join Schnebels S 20 crew when she was handed over to 6 SFtl in Kiel.
