Turrets in progress...




Barbettes & turrets are paint.
Turrets are holled to receive their guns.


Hulls receive a new coat of paint, certainly the last (without camo...?).
Decks are holed to receive the screws for the rotation of the turrets ( screws M2.5).

Fine work, Jef!

But allow me a question: the surface of those turrets, as unpainted, looks perfectly fine - but when painted, shows shinks  and wrinkles (and so do the barbette surfaces).
Is this an interaction between material and laquer chemistry, or simply an effect of lighting?

Hi Harold,

The bad look of the turrets is a Jef 's mistake ... the paintbrush was not very clean...
Sandpapering dust are certainly on the paintbrush... 
Soft sandpapering is now neccessary ...

Did you do drawings for internal subdivision, too? At least a rough compartimentation? The placing of the hull's frames makes me think so...

Hi Harold,

I don't drawing the internal subdivision.

Hmmm...

In the years of the born of these studies... I made the internal drawing of Study19 on millimeter paper.

Interresting chalenge with Solidworks but later.

first, I want to finish 3D for Study8 & drawing Study2 (Pocket Derfflinger).

Study 2 - Panzerschiff ala Derfflinger...





Study 6 - T2x280 replace the 8T1x150

Study 7 - 2T3x150 (Konigsberg turret) replace 8T1x150, They are each   
              side of the cata.

Study 8 - All 150 are over, the 3rd T3x280 is installed on a short hull,
              speed reduce to 21kts

Tu sais, je suis le dinque qui veut surtout savoir (en nez du rat) tous ces figures et tous les calculations - une sorte d'espionage en questions maritimes, si tu veux, bien-ahhh
