German submarine Wilhelm Bauer, Bremerhaven

The Wilhelm Bauer (originally designated U-2540) is a Type XXI U-boat of the German Kriegsmarine, completed shortly before the end of World War II. It was scuttled at the end of the war, having never gone on patrol. It is the only floating example of a XXI U-boat.

1. And now you get to the main part; the lever on the left side helps, but you are supposed to pass through - for the young sailors no problem, but ...

2. It looks fascinating; on the left - the batteries (they are looking at them)

2. One of the crew rooms - everything is so closely spaced ....

3. This is the Diesel engines room (two of them; reserve for everything is 100%)

Die Richtung ist nicht schlecht
Es war so, das ich meinen Sohn mitgenommen habe, er war noch ziemlich klein,
ich bin zuerst den Niedergang runter, er dann hinterher, soweit ok.
Er ist rückwärts runter, dreht sich um und genau auf seiner Augenhöhe ist ein Ventil.
Das hätte ein wenig Aua gemacht, nur das Handrad fehlte, deshalb nahm er das nicht war.
Er wäre damals genau in diesen Vierkant reingelaufen, ich konnte gerade noch die Hand
dazwischen halten ! Sehr knapp das Ganze !! Ganz miese Nummer
